DP and the First AD for Handle With Care.

Shot on the ARRI 416 using Kodak 7230 500T.

Pictures shot with an AE-1 using Kodak Portra 800.

And the AD was only sitting because I asked him to, usually he’s standing some where by camera looking stern.

Great show

Must see Moonrise Kingdom this weekend.

Kodak Portra 160.

2/3’s underexposed then pushed 1 stop in processing

Shot using a Canon AE-1 with the 28mm f/2.8

Just some test scans from a day at Cocoa Beach.

I wanted to see If I could boost saturation and contrast through the chemical processing.

Underexposed the film around 2/3’s by giving it an EI of about 260 so the color would be more saturated.

Then I had It pushed one stop (about 1/3 over exposed) in processing to give it even more saturation and contrast.

Scanned using an Epson v600, Full manual settings just backlight correction on low and flattened out the contrast a bit so I wouldn’t lose any detail that may be there.

I also left color restoration on to see what it would do. It gave mixed results especially for darker shots, It sounds like it should keep the color natural looking but I think it caused some of the color shifts. There is a lot of reds in the shadows and greenish looking highlights, It almost looks like it was cross processed.

I’d like to scan it again after researching better scan settings to see If that color is natural.
